ART Clinic · Sector 1, Bucharest
ART Clinic provides fertility assessment and personalised care pathways in Bucharest. Depending on the medical indication, options discussed with the clinical team may include in vitro fertilisation (IVF), ICSI, intrauterine insemination (IUI), donor treatments, egg retrieval, embryo transfer and cryostorage.
The World Health Organization defines infertility as the failure to achieve a pregnancy after 12 months or more of regular unprotected sexual intercourse. An earlier medical discussion may be appropriate when age, irregular or absent periods, known reproductive conditions, previous pelvic surgery, cancer treatment, recurrent pregnancy loss or a known male-factor concern may affect fertility.
Fertility involves both partners. A first assessment may include a review of medical and reproductive history, an ultrasound and selected hormone tests for the female partner, and semen analysis for the male partner. The exact investigations are chosen individually; no single test can describe every aspect of fertility.
In vitro fertilisation involves ovarian stimulation and monitoring, egg collection, fertilisation in the laboratory, embryo culture and, when appropriate, embryo transfer.
With ICSI, an embryologist injects one selected sperm into an egg. It may be discussed for particular male-factor findings or in other defined clinical situations.
Intrauterine insemination places a prepared sperm sample in the uterus close to ovulation. Suitability depends on the clinical assessment.
Donor eggs or donor sperm may be considered in selected circumstances, after medical counselling and discussion of the applicable legal and laboratory steps.
Egg retrieval is performed after ovarian stimulation and monitoring, at the time established by the medical team.
Embryo transfer places an embryo in the uterine cavity. The timing and number of embryos are discussed for each treatment plan.
IVF does not guarantee a pregnancy or live birth. Outcomes vary with age, diagnosis, ovarian reserve, sperm factors, embryo development, previous treatment and other individual circumstances. A clinic-wide percentage cannot predict one patient’s result.
Useful comparison points include the experience and roles of the clinical and embryology teams, the treatments available, laboratory procedures, transparent pricing, communication, appointment access and how the clinic explains success rates and risks. The HFEA advises using clinic success rates as a broad guide rather than as an individual prediction.
Ask what is included in the quoted price, which tests or medicines may be additional, how urgent questions are handled and how many visits may be needed. ART Clinic publishes its current listed prices, its team profiles and a Romanian-language clinic comparison guide.

Bring available medical records, previous fertility test results, information about earlier treatments or pregnancies and a current list of medicines and supplements. The clinic can confirm which records are useful before the visit.
ART Clinic publishes listed prices on its tariff page. Ask for an individual estimate because medicines, tests and optional or case-specific services may not be included in a headline treatment price.
